Shellfish and Crustaceans

The Thau lagoon, a veritable inland sea, is separated from the Grande Bleue only by a thin strip of sand called the Lido. It is in this place and in this natural environment without equivalent in Europe, that modern oyster farming was born nearly 100 years ago. 

Today, the shellfish farms occupy more than 1300 ha on the water, house more than 450 farms and provide nearly 2500 shellfish tables renowned for the incomparable taste of their products. Discover our producers!
