Presentation

Is has always been enriched by its sweet Muscat, renowned throughout the kingdom of France from the 16th century onwards. Here, the vines grow on limestone scree and give the wine a natural sweetness with a golden yellow colour. It should be enjoyed well chilled, in particular as an aperitif, with a dessert, or with duck foie gras.

Mireval has adapted to modern tastes by offering a wide range of red wines, dry or sweet rosés, sparkling muscats and dry muscats in its cellars. In the 12th century, Mireval belonged to the powerful lords of Montpellier. The Sainte-Eulalie de Val parish existed before the village and was to the west of the headland, on which the fortress of Val was built. The traces of this medieval period are still visible in the old village: the walls of the feudal castle, ramparts, fortified gates...

But you can’t leave this village without popping over to “Le Creux de Miège”. This wetland area of barely one hectare is an area of wild paradise. A family walk!
