Presentation
Wine-growing terroir with two appellations, Muscat de Frontignan and Muscat de Mireval, a “massif de garrigue”, la Gardiole, wet grasslands, a string of lagoons, a pine forest of 179 ha, “Les Aresquiers”, and a beach of the same name, which is wild and protected and one of the most beautiful beaches on the coast. Vic’s lagoons are home to many species of migratory birds and typical flora. “L’étang d’Ingril” is also a well-known spot for windsurfing and kite-surfing enthusiasts.
Hikers will enjoy the “Les Aresquiers” hike, a beautiful 9 km marked out walk along the lagoon, which can be done on foot or by mountain bike. A different walk by the sea will take you to Villeneuve-les-Maguelone. In the centre of this area stands the old village and its old winegrowing houses, overlooked by SainteLéocadie church (12th century), listed as a Historic Monument. You will enjoy the visits and discovery walks, with a guide or on your own, depending on what you fancy, where you’ll discover its heritage, a protected environment, and an authentic way of life.
